Accessibility
This page is not final. It is being prepared with our legal counsel. If you need this information before it is published, contact us and we will send you what we have.
People reach this site while dealing with something stressful, often on an old phone, sometimes using a screen reader or keyboard alone. It should work for them. This page says what we have done and how to tell us when it is not enough.
What we build to
We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced in United States accessibility requirements.
This section is being finalised with our legal counsel and will be published here once complete.
What that means in practice
These are specific things this site does, not aspirations.
- Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, and the focused element always shows a visible outline.
- A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing keyboard users reach.
- Body and heading text meets or exceeds AA contrast against its background, including white text over the photograph on the home page.
- Headings run in order and describe real structure, so screen reader users can navigate by heading rather than reading everything.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Purely decorative images, such as the background on the home page, are hidden from assistive technology rather than described pointlessly.
- Form fields have real labels, errors are announced, and focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
- Motion respects your system setting. If you have asked for reduced motion, nothing on this site animates, moves on scroll, or fades in.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport.
- Nothing conveys meaning by colour alone.
Where we know we fall short

Tell us when something does not work
If any part of this site blocks you, tell us and we will fix it. We would rather hear about it than not.
Reach us by phone, email, or mail using the details on our contact page. If it helps, describe the page you were on and what you were trying to do. You do not need to know the technical reason.
If you cannot use this site at all, we will handle whatever you needed to do here by phone or by mail instead. Nothing on this site is the only way to do anything.
Third-party content
Some parts of a page may come from other providers. Where that is the case we ask them to meet the same standard, but we do not control their code.
Talk to a person.
Questions about an account, a balance, or a payment plan all get answered by someone here. No phone trees built to lose you.
